About the work:
My work transforms simple materials—tissue paper, paint, wire, light—into immersive, oversized environments full of color, softness, and motion. For the last 7.5 years, I’ve created murals, installations, and experiential artworks across Columbus and beyond, supported by over $20,000 in grants.
The Floral Lantern Sculptures began within my installation practice. I wanted light sources that felt alive—glowing objects that were tactile, sculptural, and full of movement. Over time, they evolved into a signature element of my environments: warm, floating blossoms that invite people into a more playful, vibrant space.
Each lantern is hand-cut, layered, painted, and assembled in my studio. They carry the same intentionality and scale-driven energy of my larger installations, distilled into a single illuminated form.
Floral Lantern Sculptures are hand-built illuminated artworks designed to bring softness, color, and movement into any space. Each lantern begins with an 18” paper base that I hand-paint in warm botanical tones — soft yellows, electric pinks, citrus orange, or bold floral centers. Over the surface, I layer 24–36 individually cut tissue petals, shaped and placed to echo the natural fall of a blooming flower.
During the day, the lanterns act as sculptural floral forms; at night, they glow like neon blossoms.
They have become a signature element in my large-scale installations, and now I’m offering them as standalone pieces for homes, businesses, and event environments.
Each lantern is built by hand in my Columbus studio. Custom colors and petal shapes are available by request.

$100 per lantern (18”)
Minimum order: 5 lanterns
$80 per lantern for quantities of 6 or more
Delivery + installation fee: $250–$400 (depending on location + complexity)
Damage deposit required: refunded after return inspection

Lanterns rent beautifully as ceiling clusters, pathway lighting, statement corners, or overhead “floral canopy” installations. Backdrops are also a popular statement piece for photo ops, and leaning in to creating the event environment.
